Commissioning Professional

M&L Construction provides experienced construction management professionals who integrate directly into project teams to help owners, contractors, and developers successfully deliver complex projects. Our team supports mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, energy, and industrial construction projects by providing disciplined leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on execution.

We’re currently seeking experienced Commissioning Professionals to support complex construction and facility delivery projects. Whether your title has been Commissioning Engineer, Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Specialist, Startup Engineer, or Turnover Manager, we’d like to hear from you.

Position Overview

The Commissioning Professional supports planning, coordination, execution, documentation, and verification of commissioning activities across complex building and process systems. This role connects construction completion, system turnover, startup, testing, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

Coordinate commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover activities; maintain plans, checklists, schedules, and completion records; verify readiness; coordinate contractors, vendors, engineering, controls, and operations teams; support performance testing, walkdowns, deficiency closure, and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of commissioning, construction, engineering, startup, or related technical experience; experience on complex commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or advanced manufacturing projects; ability to interpret drawings, specifications, controls documentation, and technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with semiconductor, data center, advanced manufacturing, energy, or mission-critical facilities; mechanical, electrical, controls, process utility, or life safety systems; and commissioning management or turnover tracking platforms.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent relevant industry experience will also be considered.
