Position Overview

The Instrumentation & Controls Superintendent leads field execution of instrumentation, controls, automation, and associated systems on complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

Lead daily I&C activities; coordinate subcontractors, vendors, manpower, sequencing, and installation progress; review drawings, control diagrams, RFIs, and submittals; coordinate electrical, mechanical, process, telecom, and commissioning interfaces; manage inspections, testing, startup, turnover, safety, quality, and progress reporting.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of I&C or controls construction experience; prior field leadership; strong understanding of instrumentation, controls, automation, associated electrical systems, and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, or industrial experience; process controls, building automation, PLC/DCS, facility controls, commissioning, or startup experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent relevant industry experience will also be considered.
